A Certain Point of View

fantasy nba

we held our draft night for the office fantasy nba league last night. i got #2 in the lottery.

here are my picks per round for team Co. Jones 2005-06:

1 - kevin garnett - lbj was taken first. personally i think this guy's still #1
2 - emeka okafor
- this guy and kg helped me take the rebound category last season
3 - michael redd - with the amount of money he got in the offseason, he's got a lot to prove. i'm sure he'll do ok
4 - luke ridnour
- seattle's new starting point guard
5 - bonzi wells
- they say this is his comeback year as he's a starter once again
6 - morris peterson
- outside chris bosh and jalen rose, who else is toronto going to look to to score?
7 - antoine walker
- i'm told this guy's bad luck. i think so too. this is more of a gamble
8 -
nazr mohammed - san antonio's starting center... not bad for an 8th round pick
9 -
rashad mccants - a rookie 2 with great offensice potential, but needs to work on his D. another gamble
10 - earl watson
- i noticed late that i needed another point guard

i think i got a decent lineup from the draft but there are still some notable free agents available and a bunch of untested but promising rookies i'm looking at to replace my last 2 picks. still a lot of research and scouting to do and a long season ahead.

i probably sound pretty serious about competing in this fantasy league. well, that's 'cause first place wins a whopping php18k!

for any of you who know a thing or two about nba basketball or fantasy ball for that matter, feel free to leave me a comment or something.
